Sir Tristan has spent seven months in France and is happy to be home at Camburg Castle in time for Christmas celebrations. Regina has missed her best friend dreadfully and can’t wait to catch up with him, only to have her heart torn when she hears rumors that Tristan is soon to be betrothed to another. Regina prepares to have her Christmas ruined since, despite the fact that she’s loved him forever, she and Tristan could never be together thanks to her lower social status as the baker’s daughter, but Tristan has other ideas.

This quick story was everything I want in a Christmas comfort read. It’s short but it packs quite the punch for sweetness and steam and the relationship development doesn’t feel rushed at all since Tristan and Regina have both loved each other since they were children and just never had the courage to act on before. I loved that Tristan knew exactly what he wanted and systematically removed any obstacles standing in his way to get it. I really believed the bond between these two and there was no time for me to be stressed about anything coming between them. I loved this and it was a great way to spend a cozy afternoon.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
