Lady Winnifred Grisham has been head over heels for her brother's best friend almost since she met him. Too bad he is an unrepentant rogue who would never dally with an innocent miss. Especially troublesome since Winnie wants him for a husband not an affair.
Second son of a stiff, icy marquess, Lord Trent Ballantine found refuge within his best friend's family on school holidays. But now he's noticed his friend's sister Winnie as a beautiful woman rather an a tag-along younger sister. Trent loves Winnie enough to know she deserves better than the likes of him. This year Winnie's mother is eager for a titled match for her daughter at the annual Christmas party of a friend, leaving Winnie with only a few days to convince Trent that he is all she needs.
This was a sweet, enjoyable read and it was lovely to see two people who love each other fighting to be together.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
