Rating: 5 stars
Damien McGovern is well aware that his particular preferences mean he must be very cautious, even amongst his large, boisterous family. The situation becomes perilous when a blackmailer threatens the family as they explore Paris on the first leg of their Grand Tour. Damien needs to help find the culprit and draw little attention to himself for now, so it is a most inconvenient time to become reacquainted with the handsome Sebastian, brother to his own sister's fiance.
Sebastian Stone was forced to flee London for Paris four years ago in order to avoid prison time when a blackmailer revealed his romantic preferences to the world. That scandal ruined his life and Sebastian has spent the last few years quelling any desire for love or companionship. All that flies out the window when he meets Damian again and feels the instant attraction between them. The blackmail facing Damian's family rings with a disturbing sense of deja vu for Sebastian and he knows he must help Damian catch the blackmailer if they're to have any hope of a future together.
This was a fun, light-hearted read with a bit of mystery sprinkled throughout and which will continue in the next book of the series. This book was steamy, but also very sweet and emotional and it made for great reading. I can't wait for the next one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
